冯友兰说过:“孔子之哲学,极注重人之心理方面,故后来儒家皆注重心理学,子云:‘性相近,习相远也’。——《论语.阳货》,对性虽未有明确的学说,然以注重心理学之故,性善性恶,遂成为后来儒家之大问题矣”~([1])。无论是孔子、孟子,还是荀子,都是以其人性论作为其教育思想的理论基础的。孔子、孟子、荀子,为人性的探讨做出了有益尝试,并对后世产生了积极而久远的影响。人性论是儒家哲学的基础,也是其教育思想的基础,决定了在此基础上的教育作用、目的、任务、内容、方法等各方面的论述。

Both Confucius, Mencius, and Xunzi are based on their theory of human nature as the theoretical basis of their educational thoughts. Confucius, Mencius and Xunzi made useful attempts to probe into human nature and had a positive and long-lasting impact on later generations. The theory of human nature is the foundation of Confucianism and also the basis of its educational thought, which determines the educational function, purpose, tasks, contents and methods.
