On April 2, 1989, the history of Tunisia opened a new page. Former Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Z A. Ben Ali, who led the Carthaginian Palace, became the second elected President of Tunisia’s history and ended the 30-year-long Bourguiba era. On September 3, 1939, Ben Ali was born in a not-so-wealthy home in the town of Nasturim. His parents have six children, three of whom are boys. He is the one who studies hard. When Tunisia was independent in 1956, Ben Ali was sent to the French military school of Saint-Cyr as a member of the first outstanding youth. During his studies, he worked diligently, gave full play to his talents in the study and practice of military theory, and won the praise of teachers and classmates with his outstanding achievements.
