On October 19, 1936, Lu Xun died in Shanghai. The Party Central Committee entrusted Feng Xuefeng to preside over Lu Xun’s funeral work. Feng Xuefeng deliberately wrote the name of Mao Zedong Lu Xun funeral committee list. Among the funeral commissions, Mao Zedong was the only one who had not seen Lu Xun before. At the end of 1936, when Mao Zedong met with American journalist Edgar Snow in Yanan, he said with emotion: “I have seen Chen Duxiu, Li Dazhao, Hu Shih and Zhou Zuoren in Beijing during the May 4th Movement and have never seen Lu Xun . ”In January 1937, Feng Xuefeng returned to Yan’an to report his work.
