This paper introduces the latest research on the load-sensitive damping (ie, variable friction damping) of the three big truck wagons in South Africa. Its purpose is to understand the performance of such non-linear suspension elements and predict the performance and performance degradation of the vehicle / rail system due to the vehicle running on a non-ideal rail.
