随着中国的改革开放和经济的发展以及香港投资内地,并把制造业内移至深圳和珠江三角洲,令香港与内地的贸易和通过香港的转口贸易激增。香港集装箱量的60％以上是通过香港中转的内地进出口货物,这不但使香港成为我国华南地区的最重要的中转港,而且也是香港成为世界第一集装箱港和亚洲第一中转港的最重要的因素。 香港经济发展的最重要的特征是与中国经济及世界经济的依存关系,即香港经济发展深受中国内地经济因素、国际经济形势、中美、中英关系等影响。香港与内地特别是珠江三角洲的经济已经形成唇齿相依的关系。这种相互依存的关系将渗透到各个领域,其中也包括港口发展方面。
With China’s reform and opening up and economic development, as well as Hong Kong’s investment in the Mainland and its relocation to Shenzhen and the Pearl River Delta, the trade between Hong Kong and the Mainland and the entrepot trade through Hong Kong surged. Over 60% of the container traffic in Hong Kong is the Mainland’s import and export goods that are transshipped through Hong Kong.
