由于迄今用以选矿的方法很复杂,或者技术上不完善,所以微细和超微细颗粒赤铁矿石的选矿,仍然十分困难。但由于“琼斯”湿式强磁选机的最新发展,目前已有可能经济地分选这种类型的铁矿石。此外,这种磁选机也可以用来分选其他弱磁性矿物。本文叙述了“琼斯”磁选机的构造和操作方法,并说明了影响过程的各种参数。还根据实际操作结果提出了一个安装费用的估价,这不仅可以作为投资和计算成本的依据,而且还可证明:“琼斯”磁选机为弱磁性矿物的选矿提供了一种经济的选矿方法
Beneficiation of fine and ultrafine-pellets of hematite remains difficult due to the complex methods that have so far been used for beneficiation, or the technical imperfections. However, due to the recent developments in the “Jones” wet ferromagnetic separator, it has now been possible to economically sort this type of iron ore. In addition, this magnetic separator can also be used to sort other weak magnetic minerals. This article describes the construction and operation of the “Jones” magnetic separator and describes the various parameters that influence the process. An evaluation of installation costs was also made based on actual operating results, which not only served as a basis for investment and calculation of costs, but also demonstrated that “Jones” magnetic separators provided an economic beneficiation method for beneficiation of weakly magnetic minerals
