徐文长曾赠友人一幅墨荷,画中题跋:“若个荷花不有香,若条荷柄不堪觞。百年不饮将何为?况直双槽琥珀黄。”淡淡的墨色于此中化为一池荷香,这黑白的世界里置入的是文长浪漫的期许。此种期许畅达古意,清逸之中透出艳丽,激起文人墨客心中的涟漪。亦是此番期许,吟出荷之清韵,聚合于文人心房,终咏唱出荷之赞歌。在这歌声散发的阵阵荷香中,对于“荷”的审美尚趣也根植于中国传统绘画之中。
