中澳咸阳农村卫生健康扶贫综合项目执行四年多来,两国政府严格履行《备忘录》的各项条款,双方专家经几年共同努力,密切合作,精诚团结使这一国际性健康扶贫项目得以实施。项目确定的五大领域都取得了显著成绩,为咸阳贫困地区经济发展和社会进步做出了巨大的贡献。去年10月15日,澳大利亚国家总督杰弗里阁下到咸阳视察项目后对项目所取得成绩给予了高度评价。总督在和胡锦涛主席会谈中说到项目取得的成就时,胡主席对项目所取得的成绩表示满意。该项目在实施过程中,紧密结合中国健康扶贫工程有关理念,始终遵循以解决贫困地区人民看病难、看病贵为基点,认真探索如何解决这两个问题的新思路、新方法,取得了很大的成绩。
