SOBER是根据北京谱仪的设计特点而编写的一个专用蒙特卡罗模拟程序,能较好地模拟北京谱仪的性能,但存在着不能模拟强子在簇射计数器中的行为以及难于适应探测器的变化等缺点.GEANT3是一个国际通用的探测器蒙特卡罗模拟程序,具有灵活的探测器几何描述功能,并能模拟各种粒子在探测器中的行为.以GEANT3为框架对SOBER进行改造,不但能弥补SOBER的不足,而且还便于国际间的交流.木文详细地讨论了对SOBER改进的方法并给出了用改进后的程序进行模拟的初步结果.
SOBER is a special Monte Carlo simulation program based on the design features of Beijing spectrometer, which can simulate the performance of Beijing spectrometer well. However, it can not simulate the action of hadrons in the shower counter and is difficult to adapt to the detector Changes and other shortcomings. GEANT3 is an internationally accepted Monte Carlo probe for detectors with flexible detector geometry and simulates the behavior of various particles in the detector.
