采用油毡卷材的工程中,为将油毡表面上的云母等刷掉,需占用大量的劳动力。太原冶金建设公司第四工程公司早在1959年就试用了手摇的清刷机,收到一定效果,但它还不够理想。油工马怀玉,阎文喜和油工队长王友甲等人,经过几年来的不断努力,于1963年提出了双滚电动油毡清刷机。这种双滚电动的清刷机每班可清刷60～80捆油毡,比人工的效率提高12倍。新型清刷机的重量仅有80公斤,体积0.3立方米。清刷机由电动机、两个刷滚、一个卷毡滚、皮带轮和铁架等组成。电动机的容量为2.8瓩,刷滚的转速为每分钟1000转。清刷机的构造简单,制作也很简单,一般工地都可以自己加工。
