According to CIT’s latest market research report, 1997 Asia Pacific Mobile Communications, the number of digital cellular subscribers in the Asia Pacific region will increase dramatically in the next 10 years. On the other hand, average revenue per user will plummet. These two trends are now clear. The current situation is corroborated. For example, the growth rates of users in China, Australia, Malaysia and South Korea in the Asia-Pacific region have been staggering, while the prices of mobile phones and calls have dropped substantially.
