(一)1940年8月10日,德国西部地区上空出现了一片黑压压的轰炸机群,在闷雷般的轰响声中向英国伦敦方向扑去。这是德军为实现9月上旬攻占英国的“海狮”计划而采取的“鹰日”行动。法西斯集中了几百架飞机,企图一举摧毁数量上处于劣势的英国皇家空军。然而,在德机距英国海岸还有170多公里时,英军的战斗机一架架升空,占领有利位置,严阵以待。德国飞机刚到英吉利海峡,就遭到了英国空军的伏击。
