《芙勒》是路易斯·厄德里奇的欧·亨利奖获奖作品。小说主要讲述了芙勒在阿格斯的生活,表现出背离本族人生活的印第安人的悲剧。路易斯在小说中采用魔幻现实主义创作手段,通过夸张、象征、陌生化等手法,塑造了芙勒这一人物形象,反映了作者希望印第安人保留传统的心声。
“Fury” is Luis Erdrich’s European Henry Prize winning entries. The novel mainly focuses on the life of Fowler in Argus and shows the tragedy of Indians who deviate from their own people’s life. Louis uses fantastic realism in his novels, and through the exaggeration, symbolism and defamiliarization, Louise shapes the character of Fowler, reflecting the author’s hope that the Indians retain the traditional aspiration.
