WASHINGTON February 12 was informed: Sun Microsystems chose Netscape Communicator as its Solaris client options. Beginning in March, Sun will preinstall the Communicator client software on its new Ultra 5 and Ultra10 powerful workstations (also called the “Darwin” series) and will work with all of the operating systems running the Solaris operating environment versions 2.5.1 and 2.6 Other Sparc system. Netscape Communicator client software complements Sun’s new Solaris Desktop Extensions (SDE). SDE’s graphical and productivity-enhancing tools can lead to more intuitive user experience. It also includes HotJava Browser and Sun.
