This paper elaborates the concept of garden sketch and the application status of Chaoyang area in Liaoning province, and makes a scientific classification and an example analysis according to the function. Through the classification of garden sketches and their use in gardens, the author has clarified their important status, role and development trend in gardens. Practice shows how to give full play to the special features and uses of all kinds of garden pieces to achieve people-oriented, taking into account the ecological and cultural benefits, and constantly develop new garden pieces to serve the public is the future trend of Chaoyang.
