September 20-25, 2010 The Seventh International Symposium on Music and Archeology was held at Tianjin Conservatory of Music. International Music Archeology Society (referred to as ISGMA), held once every two years, the first six international music archeology Symposium held in Germany. The 7th International Symposium on Music and Archeology is the first event held in China since the founding of the International Institute of Music and Archeology in 1998. The theme of this symposium was “Sound from the Past - Explanation of Musical Instruments in Archeological Environments”.
