马克思主义妇女理论是马克思主义理论体系的重要组成部分。以江泽民为代表的中国共产党第三代领导集体十分关心中国妇女的发展,紧扣时代脉搏,把马克思主义妇女理论与中国妇女发展的实践相结合,系统地概括了马克思主义妇女观的内涵,确立了男女平等的基本国策,依法保障妇女权益,并以开放的态度借鉴西方女权主义的性别意识成果,为马克思主义妇女观融入新内涵,极大推进了马克思主义妇女观中国化,成为继毛泽东、邓小平之后中国共产党对妇女解放运动理论的又一次新突破、新发展和新飞跃。
