我校地处渤海之滨、辽西走廊,始建于1913年,属省重点中学。重点中学要不要开展课外活动,能不能开展好课外活动,在这个问题上我们有一个认识过程。开始,我们有些同志不愿开展课外活动,甚至有的班主任限制学生到图书馆去借书,自习时间不准学生到阅览室去看报纸杂志,束缚了学生思想和智能的发展。从毕业生的情况来看,虽然升学率较高,然而缺乏具有特长的尖子学生。升入大学的学生反映,他们感到除所学书本知识之外,知识面很窄,不如有些地区来的学生知识面广,学起来自如,有个人爱好。在校生也常提意见,说“学校生活枯燥”、“应多开展些文体活动”。
Our school is located in the Bohai Sea coast, western Liaoning corridor, was founded in 1913, is a provincial key middle school. Key secondary schools should not carry out extracurricular activities, can carry out good extracurricular activities, we have a cognitive process on this issue. At first, some of our comrades did not want to carry out extra-curricular activities. Even some class teachers restricted students from going to the library to borrow books. Studying time did not allow students to read newspapers and magazines in the reading room, which restrained the development of students’ thinking and intelligence. Judging from the graduates, although there is a high enrollment rate, they lack top-notch students with special skills. The students who went to college responded that they felt that apart from learning the book knowledge, the knowledge was rather narrow, not as good as students in some areas had a wide range of knowledge, learning to be self-sufficient and have a personal hobby. Students also often make comments, saying “school life boring”, “should be more to carry out sports activities.”
