无锡素有美丽的太湖明珠之称,作为全国首批14个对外开放城市之一,无锡的经济成就也令人瞩目,被列为全国15个经济中心城市之一,跨入全国城市综合实力50强。但随着无锡经济的高速发展,城市公交特别是员工班车的迅猛增加,机动车尾气排放中的颗粒物和氮氧化合物使无锡的空气质量逐渐地由原来的“优”变成了“良”。
