敦煌飞天艺术形象蕴含了极高的艺术价值和审美价值。可以说她是一种非常大胆的艺术想象,充满了人间浪漫、天真、善良梦幻的情感,表达出了当时人们的希望和理想,具有较强的浪漫主义的色彩和理想主义色彩。从整体上来看,线条流畅、宛转悠扬、虚实对比;具有“密不透风、疏可以跑马”的中国画风;尤其是飞天动态的把握更是妙不可言,可以感觉到飞天正在边弹琵琶边跳舞,通过卷动的线条烘托出飞天舞动的幅度很大、舞动的节奏很强、舞动的状态很投入、舞动的空间比较大、舞动的场面愉悦、舞动的氛围很放松等等,这些都是用线条烘托出来的感觉和氛围,这些线条具有“吴带当风”感觉。
