张太雷同志是中国共产党创建时期的重要领导人之一,是“常州三杰”中的一位。 1995年,本刊第一期在恽代英同志诞辰100周年的前夕,刊发了吴之光、储佩成同志的《恽代英家世考》,并加了编者按,还特地发表了本刊评论员的文章《弘扬革命先烈的精神 加强对“三杰”的研究》,指出瞿秋白、张太雷、恽代英这三位中国共产党早期的领袖人物、伟大的无产阶级革命家,他们都是常州人,史称‘常州三杰’。他们在短暂的一生中,不仅为中国革命事业建立了不朽的功绩,彪炳史册,而且还给我们留下了极其宝贵的精神财富,留下了数以百万字计的著作,是我们今天研究他们的思想和革命生涯的重要文献”,“常州是‘三杰’的故乡,开展对‘三杰’的研究,有着特殊的意义,也有着得天独厚的条件”。《家世考》发表以后,引起了国内史学界,尤其是研究党史机构的关注与重视。 今年,是太雷同志壮烈牺牲70周年。本刊特地发表吴之光、储佩成同志的《张太雷家世考》,也籍以来表示本刊编辑部全体学人对这位伟大的无产阶级革命家的崇敬与纪念。
