近十年来,国外的木片生产已成了一种新兴的木材工业行业。他们把废材、小径木、畸形材、造纸材制成木片,供制浆造纸和人造板工业利用。近二十八年来,美国木片生产增长了六十倍,1940年只产木片六十六万立方米,1968年产量已经达到三千九百一十万立方米。在美国制浆造纸的原料总消耗量中,用加工剩余物制成的木片占百分之二十八。
In the past ten years, foreign wood chip production has become an emerging wood industry. They made waste woods, footpaths, deformities, and paper stock into chips for pulp and paper and wood-based panel industries. In the past 28 years, the production of chips in the United States has increased sixtyfold. Only 66,000 cubic meters of chips were produced in 1940, and the output in 1968 reached 39.1 million cubic meters. Of the total raw material consumption for pulp and paper in the United States, 28% of the chips made from processing residues are used.
