On July 12, 2002, the academician conference on the historic site of the former headquarters of the Eighth Route Army in the village of Nanru was held in Wutai County, Shanxi Province. More than 30 experts and scholars from Shanxi Provincial Leadership and Military Academy, Party History Research Center of the CPC Central Committee, Document Research Center of the CPC Central Committee attended the seminar.
