1999年夏初,在距澳门回归祖国还有5个多月的日子里,记者为完成本刊举办纪念澳门回归专栏之策划,专程赴澳门考察访问了澳门的两所医院:仁伯爵医院和镜湖医院,并专门采访了澳门镜湖医院的院长张旭明教授。张旭明院长原任广州孙逸仙纪念医院院长达十余年,有非常丰富的医院管理经验,曾当选为全国医院优秀院长。记者请张院长就澳门的医院管理理念与经验,从比较研究的角度谈谈他的感受和体会,以使内地的医院管理者更全面地了解澳门的医院及其管理。
