目前0～4岁婴幼儿期的儿童死亡率,尤其是婴儿死亡率常视为衡量一个国家或地区文化、经济、医疗卫生水平及整个社会状况的重要标志之一。我学院91级管理班学生,按照卫生部妇幼司曾制定的调查方案,对湖北省部分地区如石首、孝感、随州、荆门、沙洋、蔡甸、黄陂、兴山等市县区,作了一次回顾性的调查,以各乡镇死亡登记为线索,充分地参阅各种现存资料,有时作实地考查、到户核实,收集了从1982年至1998年底712例婴幼儿的死亡资料,监测和评价了其死亡情况。
