外科是医院的重要组成部分。综合医院外科病床和门诊数大约与内科相当。有些医院已分设亚专业,如骨科、泌尿科等,而大型医院如教学医院分设的亚专业更多。专业化方向提高了研究工作的层次,并已取得显著成绩。另一方面又出现以某一类疾病为主的多学科、多部门联合,即横向联系,如心血管病、肿瘤等研究组织,也正取得良好效果。
Surgery is an important part of the hospital. The number of surgical beds and outpatients in general hospitals is about the same as that of internal medicine. Some hospitals have been divided into subspecialties such as orthopedics and urology, while large hospitals such as teaching hospitals have more subspecialties. The direction of specialization has increased the level of research work and has achieved remarkable results. On the other hand, multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral associations that are based on a certain type of disease, that is, horizontal associations, such as cardiovascular disease, tumor, and other research organizations, are also achieving good results.
