多媒体辅助教学是指以计算机模式为基础,结合网络、通讯技术,集成多种信息载体（如声音、视频、图形、图像、文本、超文本）的一种先进的教学手段。它具有形象性、直观性、生动活泼、信息量大、知识结构新、应用面广、效率高、效果突出等特点。多媒体辅助教学使文字、声音、图象、动画和视频集于一体,把这一技术应用于高中英语教学,打破了传统的教师、书本、黑板的平面教学模式,把传统媒体（课本、黑板、粉笔、挂图、实物等）有机结合起来,产生多媒体教学整体优化效应,构建起了立体教学模式。一、多媒体辅助教学有利于创设真实的语言环境现代外语教学最明显的特点之一就是高度的实践性,这是由语言是交流工具之一的社会功能
