Objective To investigate the incidence of hyperuricemia and its relationship with blood glucose and blood lipid in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Methods A total of 791 female physical examiners in Urumqi were enrolled in this study. Serum uric acid, fasting blood glucose, blood lipids and other indexes were detected. 191 cases of hyperuricemia were selected as case group and 346 healthy women were selected as control group. Case-control study was conducted. Results Among the 791 female subjects, the number of hyperuricemia was detected in 191 cases with a detection rate of 24.15%. The average prevalence of serum uric acid and the rate of hyperuricemia among women were statistically significant (P <0.05). The serum uric acid value increased with age, the highest serum uric acid value was (327.23 ± 88.24) μmol / L in ≥60 years old group, and the highest detection rate of hyperuricemia was 45.21% (272.35 ± 78.96) and (317.64 ± 80.45) μmol / L, respectively (P <0.05). The levels of blood glucose, cholesterol and triglyceride in the hyperuricemia group were significantly higher than those in the hyperuricemia group Control group (P <0.05). Conclusion The prevalence of uric acid and hyperuricemia in women at different ages are significantly different. With the increase of age, the prevalence of hyperuricemia is on the rise. Female hyperuricemia was positively correlated with blood glucose, triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), body mass index (BMI), and postmenopausal women were susceptible to hyperlipidemia and hyperuricemia .
