On December 1, 2016, the Assets Appraisal Law of the People’s Republic of China passed by the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress was formally implemented. This law establishes for the first time the legal status of the asset valuation industry and is of milestone importance to the development of the asset valuation industry. Assigning the Legal Effectiveness of the Normative System Seven articles in the Assets Appraisal Act refer to the assessment criteria nine times, emphasizing the professional nature of the asset valuation and the importance of the assessment criteria, giving the legal validity of the assessment criteria.
