Emanuel Feuermann 1902-1942 was one of the greatest master of cellos of the last century. In 2002, the music and cello community in Europe and the United States commemorated the 100th anniversary of his birth in different forms and activities. One of the most watched memorabilia will be the 2002 International Vollmann cello competition held in Germany on the day of his birthday on November 22, 2002. Former legendary master of cello in the last century, as early as 1938 in New York’s famous Carnegie Hall with four series of concerts (concert tickets sold out), playing an unprecedented 13 cellos Concerto, the concerto series concert earlier than Rostropovic almost 3O years. Foreman is not only a master of performance, but also an outstanding teacher. His article about teaching and teacher responsibility is still quite relevant today, 60 years after its reading. In addition to memorializing this great master, I translated this article in a different mood. Shirley Trepel, a cello professional guidance professor while studying in the United States, was a disciple who studied from Mr. Foreman for many years until his death. Today, we have revisited the teachings of Shizu and expressed his sentiments. We are also determined to be a responsible teacher and dedicated ourselves to cultivating advanced cello playing and teaching talents for our motherland. - translator
