各位代表:自从1986年4月举行中国翻译工作者协会第一次全国代表会议以来,时间已经过去六年了。今天,我们在中国译协成立十周年前夕,召开中国译协第二次全国代表会议。我谨代表第二届全国理事会常务理事会向到会的同志表示热烈的欢迎和问候。这次会议是在全国人民加快改革开放的步伐,团结一致,奋力登上经济建设新台阶的形势下召开的。在会议期间,我们要学习、贯彻邓小平同志视察南方时的重要谈话和今年三月
Distinguished Delegates: It has been six years since the first National Representatives Meeting of the Chinese Association of Translators was held in April 1986. Today, on the eve of the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Chinese Association for the Advancement of Diplomatic Missions, we hold the second national conference of Chinese translators. On behalf of the Standing Council of the Second National Council, I would like to extend a warm welcome and greetings to the comrades here. This meeting was held under the circumstances of accelerating the pace of reform and opening up of the entire country and unite as one and struggling to get on a new stage of economic construction.
