利用玉米自身的抗螟性是综合防治玉米螟的重要方面。据报导:玉米本身含有三种以上的化学物质,抗螟素甲、乙、丙及其衍生物和其它物质,对初孵螟虫有厌食和抑制生长的作用。这些化学物质可以遗传。 玉米植株的心叶是玉米螟幼虫的趋向部位。抗螟素在心叶期活力最高,其活力和浓度随着玉米株高的增加而下降的。因此在心叶中、末期接虫鉴定能表现出抗螟性的品系,在生产中才具有现实意义。
The use of corn’s own resistance to rice borer is an important aspect of comprehensive control of corn borer.
