在中国当代艺术界,双年展及其外围展如火如荼的以“大跃进”的方式在数量上迅猛发展,有着错综复杂的历史背景与现实目的。自1895年第一届威尼斯双年展创立起,双年展这种艺术展览模式逐渐成为国际当代视觉艺术最高级别的展示活动,推出世界各国新艺术成就的重要窗口和艺术节日。由于此次北京双年展由中国美协这样的“准政府机构”操办,呈现出中国官方美展的浓厚
The rapid development of the Chinese contemporary art world, the Biennale and its peripheral exhibitions in full swing in the manner of the “Great Leap Forward” has a complicated historical background and realistic purposes.
