荠菜多生于荒地、路边,其营养价值很高,人工栽培有较高的经济效益。荠菜生长期短,适应性强,喜冷凉晴朗的气候。种子发芽的最适温度为20℃～25℃,营养生长的最适温度为15℃～20℃,低于10℃或超过25℃生长缓慢。荠菜耐寒能力极强,-5℃植株不受损害,可耐短期-7.5℃低温。播后30天即可收获。荠菜对土壤要求不严,土质疏松、排水良好的土壤均可种植。露天栽培的主要技术要点如下:
