2007年10月26日,南京大学历史系的师生迎来了美国著名史学家格奥尔格.伊格尔斯。他进行了两场精彩的讲座。第一讲的标题是“专业历史学的出现:全球视角与批判性的评价”。在这一讲中,伊格尔斯主要论述了两个问题,第一个是西方的史学专业化问题;第二个是专业化是否有助于对历史?
On October 26, 2007, teachers and students from the Department of History of Nanjing University ushered in the famous American historian Georg Iggers. He conducted two wonderful lectures. The title of the first lecture is “Emergence of Professional History: A Global Perspective and a Critical Evaluation.” In this lecture, Igers mainly discusses two issues, the first one is the history specialization of the West; the second one is whether the specialization helps to the history?
