From January 1980 to January 1997, a total of 2014 cases of intrathoracic gastroesophageal anastomosis reconstruction after esophagectomy were performed in our hospital. Among them, 793 cases were anastomosed by manual suture method (group A), and 903 cases were treated with GF-I tubular only. The stapler was mechanically anastomosed (group B), and 318 patients were mechanically anastomosed and the full-thickness interrupted suture was applied to the anastomosis (group C).
