进行汉英翻译时,要注意研究汉英语言的特点和差异,这样才能转换思维方法,调整句型结构,使译文表达顺畅,合乎规范。一般说来,汉语句子结构是线型展开,句子由语义的完整性决定;而英语则是空间构型,由若干层次构成,句子由语法框架的完整性决定。因此在翻译汉语长句时需要按照英语特点进行结构转换。
In the process of Chinese-English translation, attention should be paid to the study of the characteristics and differences of Chinese and English languages, so as to change the way of thinking and adjust the structure of sentence patterns so as to make the translations smooth and in line with the norms. In general, Chinese sentence structure is linear expansion, the sentence is determined by the integrity of the semantic; and English is the spatial configuration, composed of several levels, the sentence is determined by the integrity of the grammar framework. Therefore, in the translation of Chinese long sentences need to be in accordance with the characteristics of English structural transformation.
