[Objective] The research aimed to analyze 7 medical Asteraceae plants by random amplified polymorphic DNA(RAPD).[Method] 10 stable polymorphic primers were screened from 50 primers which were used for amplification,the phylogenetic tree was established by UPGMA clustering procedure on the basis of amplified DNA fragment.[Result] 337 clear polymorphic bands were obtained.Clustering analysis showed that the phylogenetic tree established by RAPD molecular marker was identified with traditional classification.[Conclusion] The study can provide reference for identifying medical plants of Asteraceae and laying basis for the pertinence protection of that.
