中西方绘画是各自文化精神演变所浓缩的艺术形式之一,绘画风格的变迁正是文化精神的体现。不同的地域、民族对材料、工具的需求不同,加上不同的民族特性、文化精神导致不同的绘画风格。艺术作品需要一定的物质材料、手段和技法协调形成特定的效果传达。绘画可以说是在艺术家的观念基础上,精神和材质的综合表述。通过物质材料合理有序的运用,艺术家将精神物质化并展现出来。
