This paper analyzes the necessity and possibility of state maintenance of hydropower equipment, puts forward some problems that should be paid attention to when it comes to state maintenance of hydropower equipment, and introduces the status of overhauls at home and abroad and the status quo of maintenance of some hydropower equipment in Huazhong Power Grid.
