“迈步青云揽明月,中兴伟业育英才”。这是广东省徐闻县迈陈中学校门两旁立柱上的对联,也是迈陈中学一代代园丁辛勤耕耘育桃李的真实写照。 迈陈中学创办于1956年,是县直属完全中学,创办时仅设初中部4个教学班,发展至今已有27个教学班,学生1788人,教职工96人,专职教师88人,其中高级教师3人,一级教师35人,二级教师30人。该校占地面积4.3万平方米,建筑面积1.2万多平方米,学校历经40多年的风风雨雨,硬件建设从无到有,现在发展成为布置合理的校园,教学楼、科学楼、办公楼、师生宿舍和近10个标准体育场室坐落在绿树红花、绿草如茵的环境之中。图书室藏书近5万册,报章杂志100多种。
