Traditionally, continuing education departments are mainly related to basic education and amateur or self-study activities. However, when the amount of new information in each discipline grows geometrically, the need for continuing professional education becomes crucial. Continuing education programs for nursing are an integral part of medical colleges. The paper introduced the results of telephone surveys conducted by 40 principals responsible for continuing education in nursing. Many people believe that it is feasible to adopt the credit system in continuing education courses. Credit courses can help registered nurses to participate in academic activities as soon as possible. For those who have not yet become part of the normal course, they can do so.
