小学英语教学中可使用的体态语言的类型是丰富多彩的,根据其载体分,通常可以分为手势体态语、表情体态语、身姿体态语和空间距离体态语四类。一、手势体态语的运用手是人体中强有力的表意器官。有文献表明,一个人类学家统计了澳洲阿兰达部落所用的手势语,共有450个符号,这些手势符号不但能表达具体事物,而且在一定程度上能表达抽象的概念。可见,手势表达的潜力是很大的,教师应当熟练巧妙地使用这一有力的表达工具。教师在使用以上手势语时,要目的明确,克服随意性。手势的速度、频度、幅度均要适度。在课堂上一定要克服不良手势,如抠鼻子、挠头皮、摸胡子、手沾唾液翻书等。更不能手敲桌子或对学生指指
