各位代表、各位来宾、同志们:在全国各族人民和广大科技工作者满怀豪情跨入新世纪的时刻,在我国实施“十五”计划的开局之年,在我们即将迎来中国共产党建党80周年的喜庆日子里,中国科学技术协会第六次全国代表大会隆重开幕了。出席本次大会的代表共947名,有53位代表因事因病请假。来自各个领域的代表中,有为我国科技事业无私奉献、奋斗不息,作出了卓越贡献的老一辈科学家;有顽强拼搏,锐意创新,在经济建设、社会进步和科技发展中取得优异成绩的中青年科技工作者;还有尽心尽力、热情为广大科技工作者服务的各级科协及所属团体的专职和兼职工作者。香港特别行政区、澳门特别行政
Dear Delegates, Ladies and Gentlemen, At the moment when the people of all nationalities in China and the vast numbers of scientists and technicians have entered the new century full of pride, in the first year when China implemented the “15th Five-Year Plan,” when we are about to usher in the Chinese Communist Party During the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Sixth National Congress of the China Association for Science and Technology was grandly opened.
