The Quanzhou-Shantou seismic belt is the most frequent earthquake in southern China (except for the Beihuan Bei). Since the earthquake was recorded in the 9th century, many destructive earthquakes have occurred and it has always been the focus of the earthquake workers in the south. In recent years, all units through the excavation of the historical earthquake data, there are many new discoveries on the seismic activity of the belt, and some of them are still missing major earthquakes in the earthquake catalog. This article only gives a preliminary view on the major earthquake in the coastal area of Quanzhou-Xiamen on March 28, 1906 and some related issues in order to draw the necessary attention when studying the seismicity of the belt.
