Investigating the cave burial in the Yao area will be of great help in studying the history of the Yao people and understanding the political, economic, cultural, customs, religious beliefs, physical characteristics, and the relationship between the Yao and other ethnic groups in the ancient Yao ethnic group. In the past, there were few records of ancient cave literature about the cave burial of the Yao people. At present, there are few expositions in this field by the historians. Some scholars think that the burial cave burial is a kind of burial of the Baiyue ethnic group and the Pu people. Vulgar. Whether there is such a burial custom for the Yao people, the research is not yet done. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a survey on burial mound in Yao area. We arrived in Nandan on July 21, 1982. Thirteen days from July 25 to August 6, we went to investigate the 35 caves in six arms groups, including Jiarui, Ji Ji, Ren Guang, Hua Guo, Dong Jia and Yao Li. Unfortunately, many cave burials have been damaged, making it hard to see the original face of cave burial. In spite of this, the survey is still very fruitful.
