分组技术(包括VoIP 、VoATM和VoFR)正在迅速崛起,并有望成为利用公共基础设施提供融合语音、视频和数据服务的核心技术。信令网关是连接电路交换网和分组交换网的设备,可让运营商在传统的PSTN用户与VoIP用户之间提供通信服务。因而,了解硬件和软件结构以及有关信令网关的难题是至关重要的,有助于下一代集合网络高密度、电信级支持的实现。
Packet technologies, including VoIP, VoATM, and VoFR, are rapidly emerging and are expected to become the core technology that leverages public infrastructure to deliver converged voice, video and data services. The signaling gateway is a device that connects circuit-switched networks and packet-switched networks, allowing operators to provide communication services between traditional PSTN users and VoIP users. Thus, understanding the hardware and software architectures and the challenges associated with signaling gateways is crucial to enable the implementation of high-density, carrier-grade support for next-generation converged networks.
