1996年11月12日是孙中山先生诞辰130周年,在这个值得纪念的日子里,黄埔军校本部重建落成典礼在广州市长洲岛隆重举行。来自海内外的黄埔同学及各界嘉宾五百多人参加了典礼。典礼在广州市副市长王守初女士的主持下进行。黄埔五期同学、黄埔军校同学会副会长郭汝瑰、聂荣臻元帅的女儿聂力将军及广州市委书记黎子流同志为校本部重建落成剪彩。
November 12, 1996 is the 130th anniversary of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's birthday. On this memorable day, the completion ceremony of the reconstruction of the Whampoa Military Academy headquarters was held in Changzhou Island, Guangzhou. More than 500 guests from all walks of life both at home and abroad attended the ceremony. The ceremony was held under Ms. Wang Shouchu, vice mayor of Guangzhou. Whampoa five classmates, Whampoa Military Academy vice president Guo Ruguang, Nie Rongzhen marshal daughter Nie Li and Guangzhou municipal Party committee secretary Li Ziyu comrades for the completion of the school headquarters reconstruction ribbon-cutting.
