潇湘电影制片厂,原名湖南电影制片厂,座落于湘江之畔的古城长沙。始建于1957年,1961年在精简机构中下马,1971年重建,1972年开始摄制新闻纪录片,并更名为潇湘电影制片厂。 随着电影事业的发展,潇湘电影制片厂经过艰苦创业和奋力开拓,已具备相当规模的影视创作、生产能力和技术基础设施,占地面积62700平方米,形成了以故事片生产为主兼及电视剧和其他片种的影视摄制基地。迄今为止,共摄制科教、新闻纪录片94部(229本),电视剧近300集,故事片112部。这些影视作品以其较高的思想性、较强的艺术性和观赏性以及浓郁的湖湘地域特色,深为广大观众喜闻乐见。其中相当一部分,获得国际、国家级奖励,多次被国外及港
