辽东楤木别名龙牙楤木,俗称刺老鸦,为五加科楤木属植物Aralia elata(Miq.)Seem.(A.mandshurica Rupr.et Maxim)。在东北三省东部山区均有分布,尤其长白山地区分布量最多,仅吉林省延边地区蕴藏量可达3000多吨。当前只有幼嫩枝芽供食用,曾制成罐头出口。苏联早就作为人参的代用品,和刺五加皮一同作滋补强壮药。我国虽然有许多报道,但一直未正式应用。辽东楤木中主要含有三种三萜皂甙,分别
Liaodong camphorwood is also known as Aralia elata, commonly known as thorn crow, which is Aralia elata (Miq.) Seem. (A. mandshurica Rupr.et Maxim). It is distributed in the mountains in the eastern part of the three northeastern provinces, especially in the Changbai Mountain area. The reserves in Yanbian area of Jilin Province can reach more than 3,000 tons. At present, only young shoots are available for consumption and they have been made canned. The Soviet Union had long been used as a substitute for ginseng, and it was used to nourish strong medicine with Acanthopanax. Although there are many reports in China, it has not been formally applied. There are three kinds of triterpene saponins in the wood of Quercus liaotungensis.
